Dental Society President

About the role:

The Dental Society President is the leader of the Dental Society and responsible for the affairs and activities of the Dental Society. The role is involved in improving all parts of the student experience for dentistry students, and you’ll also be involved in shaping the BLSA and the activities that are offered to students.

Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the affairs of the Dental Society according to the provisions of the constitution of the Dental Society
• Attend relevant meetings within the Students’ Union and the university (see list of compulsory meetings below
• Provide regular updates on your work to the students you represent

Meetings that I attend:

• Student Council (2 hour meeting, five times a year)
• BLSA Board (2 hour meeting, six times a year)
• Dental Education Committee (once a month)
• Student Presidents' Council (every week/two weeks)
• SSLC meetings (once a month)
• Dental Society meetings
