About the role:

The Treasurer (BLSA) is responsible for maintaining the finances and the financial records of the Association Fund, including grant applications, funding proposals, and Sponsorship.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the BLSA President on all matters relating to the BLSA’s finances
  • Maintain the BLSA Financial Spreadsheet and use this to track the financial stability of the BLSA via our multiple finding routes
  • Work with the VP Team to ensure flagships events like Association Dinner and Graduate events are budgeted correctly
  • Work with the BLSA President to apply for external funding, such as the Medical College Trust, BATLAA, or Alumni Annual Fund
  • To aid with funding panels for the Association Fund or for any other available funds that the BLSA receives applications for
  • Act as the first point of contact for any potential sponsors for our events and campaigns when needed
  • Attend relevant meetings within the Students’ Union and the university (see list of compulsory meetings below)
  • Provide regular updates on your work

 

Meetings that I attend:
  • BLSA Board (2-hour meeting, six times a year)
  • Association Fund Panel (three times a year)
