We’re looking for a Queen Mary student to join our team as a Community Organiser. This is a new role that will support the Students’ Union’s liberation campaign Asian Heritage Month. The Community Organiser will work closely with student representatives, student groups and staff members from different teams to ensure that the liberation campaigns offer a varied programme of activities. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to organise events for students and develop awareness raising content for social media and the Students’ Union website. We are looking for a candidate that is able to build strong working relationships with people from different liberation groups and is passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion.

Please read through the job description below carefully to ensure you meet the requirements before applying. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.

Queen Mary Students' Union is proud to be an Equal Opportunities employer and we are committed to equality of opportunity for all applicants regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability status, class or any other dimension of diversity. Reasonable adjustments will be made at each stage of the recruitment process for any candidate with a disability. We particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates as this group is currently under-represented within the Union.
