Queen Mary Students’ Union (QMSU) is a democratic membership led charity that exists to improve students’ lives. This role supports this mission by ensuring a great experience and welcome for all visitors to our spaces, alongside the rest of the team. You will be the first point of contact for all visitors and will ensure all enquiries are dealt with in a professional and efficient manner.
The CSA will ensure that all business processes and financial procedures are adhered to. This is including but not limited to; card and cash transaction, banking, room bookings, external speaker risk assessments, and raising maintenance issues.
The CSA will also support the administration, supervision and development of our student staff, ensuring the onboarding processes are completed and that they are fully trained, inducted and, follow all relevant procedures and guidelines. The role will also support the organisations work on People and Culture, including supporting staff community building initiatives and the upkeep of internal guidance and documents for staff.
The post is a full time (35 hours per week) permanent position. Starting salary will be £27,979 per annum pro-rata, inclusive of London Allowance and raises 1 point annually as set out in the QMUL Pay and Grading Structure. Benefits include 30 days annual leave plus university closure days and bank holidays, pension scheme, free gym membership and an interest-free TFL/Railway season ticket loan. The role is predominately in person.
