NSS Charities 2025

We are delighted to announce the NSS charities for 2025, chosen by your elected Executive Officers. Community work and engagement have always been part of what we do as a Students’ Union and University through Raise & Give (RAG) and Volunteering. We’re using the NSS as an opportunity to support the causes that matter to our students. The selected charities for 2024-25 are Bow Foodbank, Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) and Shelter.

The University will make a charity donation according to the response rate and students can also choose to donate their £5 Thank You reward to one of the nominated charities too.

  • On reaching a 50% completion rate for the survey, the University will donate £500
  • At 60%, the University will donate a further £250 to a total of £750
  • At 70% or more, the University will donate a further £250 to a total of £1000

  • Each of our nominated charities support crucial causes and make a positive impact locally, nationally or globally. Here’s a closer look at the invaluable work they do;

  • Collaborating with local organisations to address food insecurity.
  • Offering a compassionate and welcoming environment for all visitors.

  • By supporting Bow Foodbank, we directly help our neighbours and contribute to a stronger, more caring community.
