Welcome to BLISoc a.k.a. Barts and the London Islamic Society! At BLISoc, we aim to our to support the religious, spiritual, social, and academic well-being of all students on campus—whether Muslim or not.
BL ISoc is more than just a religious society; we are a welcoming community that fosters unity, promotes learning, and spreads kindness. We host a diverse range of events throughout the year, from spiritual talks and academic workshops to many socials, fun events and community outreach projects.
Throughout all events, you’ll be welcomed by many friendly elder year students, who are always willing to be a helping hand. Can’t forget the (almost) endless supply of food and snacks to enjoy too ;)
Our highlights include:
- Freshers Fortnight- right at the start of the year, we have 2 jam-packed weeks of exciting events to welcome our freshers and join our isoc family!
- Charity Week- join us in an international effort to raise funds for those in need around the world through lots of fantastic events!
- Believe and Do Good (BADG) month- a month that showcases ROCK (reconnecting our community through kindness), our community outreach branch. There are many opportunities to get involved in volunteering and community work!
- And so much more!
Our religion teaches us of the importance of unity, creating and maintaining ties with one another. We strive to make our society a home away from home, where we hope to create a comfortable environment for everyone on campus to benefit from.
