Hi there! Welcome to our page :)
Barts and the London Cardiology Society was founded to provide a medium for students who are interested in the heart or even keen on pursuing careers in cardiology or cardiothoracic surgery.
Some of our aims:
- Throughout the year we aim to organise a variety of talks, including ones to introduce you to the specialty and subspecialties, CV/portfolio building sessions, clinician-led teaching sessions, OSCE revisions and many more.
- We also offer the Mentorship Scheme, a unique opportunity whereby we recruit students and allocate them to a mentor, allowing them the experience of shadowing eletrophysiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, interventional cardiologists, in catheter labs, wards, clinics, surgery etc. This is an ideal way to build your networks and get involved in research.
- Later on in March, we will also be hosting our annual National Undergraduate Cardiology Conference.
- Keep an eye out for some of our amazing charity events running throughout the year.
