Welcome to Bridge the Gap, a new society dedicated to fostering a supportive community for students at IHSE who navigate the complexities of university life while embracing neurodivergence. Our mission is to create a safe space where students can connect, share experiences, and gain insights into how neurodiversity intersects with higher education.
At Bridge the Gap, we recognise the unique challenges faced by neurodivergent students, and we aim to address these through inclusive events, peer support, and educational initiatives. Our goal is to bridge the gaps in knowledge and understanding that can hinder academic and social participation for students in the BL community.
Foster Community Connections: We strive to support neurodivergent students in engaging with the social scene at IHSE, providing opportunities for networking and camaraderie.
Educational Empowerment: Our society will host informative sessions about various forms of neurodiversity, helping both neurodivergent and non-neurodivergent students understand and manage these differences in academic and professional settings.
Professional Development: We are committed to offering development opportunities that enhance the skills of our neurodiverse community, including access to networking events with industry professionals.
Through regular socials, educational workshops, and collaborative events, we aim to cultivate an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
If you’re interested in joining a community that values diversity, empathy, and mutual support, we invite you to participate in our events and discussions. Together, we can create a more inclusive university experience for all.
