The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) One Day course from MHFA England gives people the awareness and skills to be a MHFA Champion. MHFA Champions have the knowledge to advocate for mental health and ability to recognise if someone may need support with their mental health.
You will learn about the most common mental health problems including how to identify when someone is experiencing mental distress. You will feel more confident supporting others and you will know how to signpost appropriately. The one day mental health first course covers the ALGEE action plan, and how to use it. The course includes two sessions: Mental Health First Aid & Mental Health First Aid action plan This is a 7 hour course delivered face to face or Online. Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities. It is ideal for those who are line managers, or Team Leaders.
