Hiya! I’m Rizwan Ghazali, currently a second-year medical student at Barts. I am keen to take on the role of secretary and continue to be involved in such a helpful society! I have been an active member of MESS, both as student and now this year as a teacher. I joined as a teacher because the explanations from MESS teachers helped me understand topics well and I aimed to pass on the knowledge I acquired. And because I felt welcome by the supportive environment that MESS had.
I would love to be secretary to further contribute to the running of MESS, and believe my experience in balancing society events, tutoring and the endless horde of anki reviews will aid me in the organisational responsibilities that comes with the role. Having managed the general running of a debate club in sixth form I consider myself diligent timetabling meetings and ensuring that everyone is on the same page. Above all however I aim to be friendly and approachable for any advice and suggestions
