My name is Lak and I'm so excited to apply for this role of promotions officer! Being a prefect in school, I took it upon myself to help out with as many charity events as I possibly could. I think it is so important to give back to the community and it is something that I am very passionate about. I was involved in organising things such as charity bake sales, as well as bigger events such as culture days. This required me to liase a lot with teachers as well as out of school volunteers to make sure events ran as smoothly as possible. These were events which were not handles alone, so I am also very efficient in working as a team, which is something that I will hopefully have an opportunity to do as a promotions officer. As well as this I have prior experience in the admin department of a GP practice in which I would have to coordinate with the practise manager and doctors sending many emails back and forth, as well as developing communication skills with patients as part of health promotion strategies for the practice. My experience has also allowed me to be able to stick to strict schedules and make sure that events run as smoothly as possible. As a promotion's officer I would make sure that all events are organised well in advance and maintain good connections between schools and the Royal London Hospital, I would make sure that I also take on equal responsibility in the team as I very much value the importance of teamwork and will endeavour not to let my team down. This role would also allow for me to be more involved with Teddy bear hospital which is something that I am very much looking forward to as I very much enjoy working with children and it is such an impactful cause.
