Hi everyone!

My name is Alicia and I'm currently a 3rd year medical student. 

I joined Teddy Bear Hospital at the beginning of the year and I have truly enjoyed the volunteering with everyone. I have had the priviledge to meet so many amazing fellow teddy bear doctors and dentist while volunteering and am looking forward to meet many more.

I have attended quite a few clinics so I have a good insight on how the clinics run. I have had the chance to try to run each station during the clincs. I have also observed this years team leaders and how they manage the clinics and intereact with the chidlren and I am confident and hopeful that I will be able to follow in their footsteps to provide a fun and safe enviroment for the chidlren as well as the volunteers. I have had other expereince working with children volunteering for holiday workshops teaching and guiding children on hand hygeince as well as recyling. I really enjoy working with children and have gain a lot of experience interacting with them during my time at Teddy bear hospital and other volunteering experinces. 

A little about me:

• Friendly and approachable- which I believe is essential for this role so volunteers easiley come to me can always ask me advice.
• Expereince leader- I have taken part in other commmittes such as SAMDA, where I am the publicity lead. I have learnt to work with others in my team as well as take on the responsibilities of a leader. 
•  Organization and communication- I like to think of myself as an organised individual. I always make it a point to finish task on time and to keep on top of everything including replying to email and messages in a timely manner. 
• Good listener- I always make it a point to give my full attention. Creating a safe space for open communication.

As team leader, I will give it my all to ensure every TBH clinic is enjoyable for all!
