Hi, I'm Elizey! I've been part of Paksoc committee this past year, which has given me an understanding of how the committee and events are run and I successfully encouraged Pakistani and non-Pakistani members to join who all had a great time enjoying Pakistani culture! I managed the social media page in Dental society in my previous university, increasing our exposure and engagement. I also have a jewellery business which I promote through social media making me well suited to this role.
Hi I’m Maria. I’m on RAG committee this year so have developed my ability to work well under pressure and alongside others. This role has given me a greater understanding of the importance of social media presence in the promotion of events. I assisted in producing posters and fliers promoting events using canva and feel that this experience will allow us to maximise awareness of different paksoc socials and workshops.
- We are both passionate about promoting the rich and vibrant Pakistani culture online and increase our outreach to QMUL students and inspire collaboration with other university societies
- The creativity required for this role aligns with our experience in using Photoshop and Canva allowing us to make engaging content, bringing more students to the society :)
