I would like to put myself forward for the role of Treasurer of the Law and Business Society for the 2022-2023 academic year.
With an organised approach to issues and a keen eye for detail, I would handle this role with the care and passion it deserves.
As an LLB student motivated by the ebb and flow of trade, the economy and the conduct of organisations, being a part of the Queen Mary Law and Business Society Committee was an incredible experience this year. Having been the society's Marketing Officer this past semester, I have worked to promote and thus gained a deep understanding and appreciation for each of the events our society organises. At the same time, having been the Student Council Chair at my old school, I have had experience in the monetary aspect and angle necessary to prepare successful events.
As the society's Treasurer:
-I would look to promote economic transparency for members, creating detailed financial records to assure both confidence and clarity.
-I would also aim to create a structured budget, advancing the diverse range of competitions and events our society undertakes.
-Not only that, but I would be sure to help cultivate the sponsors our society engages with, increasing revenue and thus opportunities.
