Hello! My name is Bianka Lewandowska and I am a second year medical student at QM.
I am running for the position of treasurer of the Polish Society because I feel really connected to the Polish culture and people, and hence, want to contribute to the development of this society.
My experience which may help me in the new role of the treasurer is organizing a charity concert in 2018. Me and my friends organized the whole concert from scratch, which involved handling finances and organizing lots of things, from the venue to artists and graphics. Additionally, I am an Acapella Manager 20/21 for the BL Music Society and Pre-clinical Rep 20/21 for the BL Dermatology society. These two positions have shown me the insights of how societies work and developed my organisational skills and team work.
As a treasurer, I will ensure that the society functions effectively and keep account of society’s funds. However, I do not want to limit my role only to financial matters. As a massive quiz show psychofan, I am keen on leading the organization of quiz show events! I am open to any new tasks in order to carry out engaging and socializing events.
