The Volunteering Awards recognise the hard work and achievements of volunteers, student volunteer groups and community partner organisations.
The winners were announced at our annual Volunteer Awards, which this year took place on Thursday the 10th of April.
Congratulations to this year’s Award winners and those highly commended and thank you for everything you do! You have made such a huge impact through all your hard work this year, and we are so happy that we get to celebrate this through our Awards!

These awards celebrate the hard work of QMSU’s Student Volunteering Groups to make an impact on the community. Please read through the criteria and nominate your group!
Volunteering Group of the Year
Criteria
Awarded to an outstanding volunteering group who have made a positive contribution in the community, provided high-quality volunteering opportunities to students, and showed commitment to sustainability throughout the academic year.

Individual Volunteer Awards
These awards recognise the dedication and achievements of individual volunteers across a range of volunteering opportunities and activities.
Volunteering Group Volunteer of the Year
Criteria
Awarded to an outstanding volunteering group member who has made a positive contribution to the community and to their volunteering group.

Criteria
Awarded to a student who has shown dedication and enthusiasm for volunteering in the community through Give Volunteering A Go.

Criteria
Any student who has volunteered for a QMSU Community Partner Organisation is eligible for this award. We encourage our partner organisations to nominate students for this.
